Facebook Mobile Phone

First, we got the iPhone from Apple and then G1 from Google. And it looks like this isn’t going to end here. We now have something more interesting, a social network coming out with their mobile phone!
Yep, I’m talking about Facebook. It is rumoured, that this Facebook mobile phone would be launched by Hong Kong’s Hutchison Whampoa Ltd through its new handset unit INQ Mobile.
According to Julie Ask, Jupiter Media Analyst:
The phone’s target market was relatively small, consisting of people “who want to be connected to their social network multiple times a dayâ€. It’s going to generate a lot of buzz and it’s going to set a bar for what mobile social network experience on a phone should be.
Frank Meehan chief, executive of INQ, told Forbes that Facebook Mobile Phone will have a price of less than $200, with integration INQ1’s contacts book with popular social sites like Facebook. This is something we don’t find in the current mobile phones, and will give Facebook Mobile Phone an edge over Nokia, Apple and Google.
I’ve have a feeling that if this phone really comes out, then it will be named as fPhone or PhoneBook ;)
