Having tried out a lot of such tools myself in the early days, I honestly don't believe that the optimization routine of this piece of software has any real beneficial effect on the system.
There are a lot articles on the net debunking the myth that RAM defragmentation and optimization tools can improve the system performance. On the contrary, many tools decrease the performance of the system for a while, because after using such a tool, caches which should stay alive are getting flushed and programs have to register free memory again in order to work.
