You must have already read about the first Google Android powered mobile phone, HTC Dream which is also known as T-Mobile G1, launching today.

It will be the first handset to run on Android OS and T-Mobile will be announcing it today with an exclusive partnership with Google.

T-Mobile G1 offers nothing extraordinary than what’s being offered by others. It features full touch-screen functionality and a QWERTY keyboard and comes with a mobile web experience including popular Google services like Gmail, Maps with Street View, YouTube etc.

T-Mobile G1 will also be the first handset to provide access to the Android Market (something like Apple’s App Store) where customers can find and download unique applications to expand and personalize their phone to fit their style.

It is expected to go on sale in late October and will cost around $200. More features will be revealed after the launch.
