Run Google Services on Desktop with GMDesk
We all know that Adobe AIR is an awesome platform for desktop applications. I recently wrote about an AIR-based web 2.0 icon generator, and here I have an other interesting application from its ever-increasing list.
GMDesk is an application that lets you run Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Docs and Google Maps as a stand-alone application from your desktop and do all your mail handling, calendar event reading etc with.
There is no need to open it up in a web browser, or have it clutter your workspace. Simple start GMDesk, login with your Google account username and password and you can easily swicth between apps using the menu on the top or by pressing Alt + Tab.

It offers an easy menu as well as keyboard shortcuts to switch between different Google services, and you can specify what default service you want the application to start with.
If you are an Google Apps user, it also supports its access as well. You can configure all these options from its preferences.
