Mozilla has again released a security update, Firefox 2.0.0.16, this month for Firefox 2 and is now available for download. It is a recommended update for everyone who is running Firefox 2.
This security update for Firefox fixes two critical security vulnerabilities that allowed remote code execution and the opening of multiple tabs if Firefox is not running.The current Firefox browser is Firefox 3, but Mozilla will continue to offer security and stability updates until mid-December 2008. So older Firefox users who are not willing to use Firefox 3, can still enjoy Firefox 2 till December.

The leaders in iPhone firmware hacking have done it once again! They have managed to jailbreak the new iPhone 3G (powered by firmware 2.0) and have developed a tool called, Pwnage Tool 2.0, for users to unlock their iPhone 3G.
Apple iPod Touch Firmware 1.1.5 Released
Apple has quietly released a new firmware update 1.15 for the old iPod Touch 1.1.4 firmware. As compared to firmware 2.0, where users had to pay $9.95 to upgrade, this new firmware is free to download and use.
There is nothing new in this update, nor they have added any new features. They have only improved the speed and stability of existing applications. Don’t expect any App Store support in this one.
Download PSP Firmware 4.05
The new PSP firmware 4.05 has released and is now available for download. There were rumours about it releasing in a week or so, but didn’t knew it would be out so soon!
The latest update features new new music playback visualizations and the ever-conclusive “other features” as said by the PlayStation Blog. There is nothing earth-shattering in it, it just features a couple of new visualizers, one if you happen to have a wallpaper while another is for those who don’t.
WordPress 2.6 Released – Download Now!
Yesterday, the first release candidate of WP 2.6 (codename Tyner) was released and a day later, the final version of WordPress 2.6 is out and is now available for download.
WordPress again brings in lots of new features and usability improvements with its latest version. They have also done some minor tweaks to improve its security.

Microsoft has today launched the new website design for Microsoft Windows. This design is clean and much faster than the previous one. This one looks good, I’d love to see this one being integrated in other pages as well.
New Facebook Profile Page Beta Is Now Live
Facebook will soon be rolling out the much-anticipated and long-delayed redesigned profile pages. The beta version is now live and can be tried out by anyone. You no longer need to use the Developer trick to try it.
Currently this profile page is in beta, and does not cover the whole site, but you can at least take a look at what and how the new design will look like. Login to the new profile at www.new.facebook.com and check it out!
Tips To Boost iPhone 3G Signal Strength

According to recent posts on Apple Discussions, it has been revealed that some users are experiencing low signal strength with the new iPhone 3G.
The iPhone 3G automatically switches between 3G to 2G networks for voice and data connections. It should automatically switch to 2G when 3G signals are poor to allow incoming or outgoing calls, but this isn’t the case and it stays on 3G network all the time.
