Visually Appealing Battery Meter For Your Windows Task Bar

battery meter

BatteryBar is an open-source Windows utility that places a visual battery in you Windows taskbar. It is a simple and very light tool that sits your taskbar and shows the status of your battery.

Along with a staus bar, it also shows the estimated remaining time duration that your battery will last in hours:minutes. This visually appealing tool comes with five colour codes that the author has used to indicate the left battery charge:

  1. Green (> 40% remaining of battery charge)
  2. Yellow (25-40% of remaining battery charge)
  3. Red (< 25% of remaining battery charge)

When charging, the percentage bar is shown in blue to indicate charging, and the estimated time to full charge is shown. The bar turns black and shows “On A/C” when fully charged.

Requirements:

BatteryBar requires .NET Framework 2.0 and runs on Windows Vista. XP was not tested.
