How To Disable Automatic Image Resizing In Firefox

If you are a Firefox user, then you must have noticed that when ever you open an image in Firefox which is larger in resolution than your screen area, it automatically gets resized to fit your screen. Firefox, by default, does not provide an option to disable this but you can always do it through Firefox about:config configuration options.

Here’s a simple, small tip on how you can disable this.

How To Disable Automatic Image Resizing In Firefox

1. Open Firefox amd type about:config in the awesome address bar.

2. Press the I’ll be careful, I promise! button to assure Firefox that you will be careful.

3. In the Filter field, type automatic_image_resizing so that you can see browser.enable_automatic_image_resizing below.

4. Double-click it, and you will notice its value being changed to False.

You’re done! Now Firefox won’t resize any large image and will show its original size only.
