Google is everyone’s favourite, and the most popular search engine. People from all over the globe use it. Mainly because, it is fast, simple and always gives relevant results. But how about adding a little more in search results? Would you like if you could refine those results to match even more personal criteria?
Google Hacks is such application that allows you to filter search results by showing you exactly what you are looking for: applications, videos, books, song lyrics, torrents and other file types and applications. This is a complete tool to perform specific kinds of searches. The word “hack” is not what we really think. This word is usually taken as to cause harm to other computers and applications. According to Wikipedia:
“A Hack is a modification of a program or device to give the user access to features otherwise were unavailable to them.”
Who in the world has time to memorize all the search modifiers like “-inurl:(htm|html|php) intitle:”index of” +”last modified” +”parent directory” +description +size +(.mp3|.wma|.ogg)”? This is where this little magic applications comes in. You can use it to find exactly the kind of files you’re looking for on Google.
Simply select the desired format, type your search query and (pressing Enter does not work) click the Search button. The results will open in a new window.
OS Compatibilty
This application is compatible with Windows 98/ME/2000/XP, Linux and Mac.

It also has anti-spyware and virus protection to protect you from harmful viruses. First we’ll take a look at its basic features, and then move on to the place from where we could get the free license key.

In spite of all the problems that have come with Windows XP SP3, people are still using it. If you are also one of them, then you must have noticed that your 3rd party Windows XP themes have not be working after installing service pack 3. That’s because the uxtheme.dll has been changed.

If you upload and share a lot of files using free file hosts, then you will find this service quite interesting and useful. TinyLoad allows you to upload files to multiple hosts at the same time. This gives your file downloaders a choice whether they want to download the file from RapidShare or from MegaUpload, SendSpace etc.
File hosts that are supported by TinyLoad are MegaUpload, RapidShare, FileFactory, DivShare, BestSharing, SendSpace, Uploading, FileSend, Easy Share, Bandongo, zShare and Amazon S3. The maximum file size that you can upload is 100MB. You get the links almost instantly, but sometimes due to server load, it might take a while to appear. No need to panic, patience pays off! ;)
Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer Egged By A Student
Now here’s something that all my readers would love to watch. While Ballmer spoke at the Hungarian University of Economy yesterday, a student started throwing eggs at the Microsoft CEO. This act was meant to protest the millions of dollars Hungary’s government spends to license Microsoft software at universities. He also asked the Microsoft CEO to give the money back to the taxpayers.

Recently I saw a similar post on TechZilo, one of the blogs I regularly read, and thought is a very nice idea to socialize with our readers. I’ve always been active on Facebook, Orkut, StumbleUpon, Digg etc.
I’ve never been active on Twitter, but since many people are ‘following’ more and more people on Twitter and it has been one of the fastest growing social networks, I’ve also started using it. I’m looking forward to expanding my friends network, and know my readers better.
