Schedule Posts For Later Publishing In WordPress

WordPress is, no doubt, the best blogging platform and CMS (Content Management System) available. There are endless features in it, and since the new version, WordPress 2.5, is out it’s even more fun to use it. I’ve been using WordPress for the past 1 year now, before that I was with Joomla and worked on that. But seriously, WordPress is more easy, user-friendly and faster to use.

Here’s a small WordPress tip I would like to share with you all. As you all know, previously, I took a 4 months break because of my exams. In the meanwhile, you you kept getting posts on Sizzled Core regularly for some time, even when I was busy studying. That’s one of the features why I love WordPress so much. WordPress has a built-in feature by which you could time-stamp your posts for later publishing.
Tweak Your Windows Live Messenger With A-Patch
A-Patch is a small free patch for Windows Live Messenger (WLM) that can be used to customize and tweak the look and feel of your WLM, plus enhancing it for best experience. You even tweak some functions using A-Patch. This patch is packed with over 80 tweaks, which includes 38 tweaks for the main window (contacts area), 36 tweaks for the chat window and 10 miscellaneous tweaks including multi MSN.
Make sure you patch an original unmodified Windows Live Messenger. If you want to patch Windows Live Messenger more than once, then don’t forget to restore your backups each time.
How To Try Out New Facebook Design
Earlier today, I wrote about the new Facebook profile design which is slated to release for everyone this Spring. Currently, it’s only open for Facebook developers and normal users can not try it. I have found a way by which even regular members can use and try the new upcoming Facebook design.
As I said before, it’s only open for developers, so for this you’ll have to become a developer yourself! No, I’m not going to ask you to make a Facebook application. Just by adding the Developer application can count you in their developers. That means then you can also try out the new design.
Sneak Peak At The New Facebook Profile Design
Facebook is planning to roll out the new, redesigned profile this Spring. Their aim is to make things simpler, cleaner and more relevant for the users, without stripping them off with their control over their profile and privacy. And as for developers, they can create more meaningful engagement with users, offer new integration points in profiles, and provide distribution for engaging applications.
Developers have been given a beta period to test out their applications with the redesigned Facebook. The new design uses tabs to split up different types of information, still keeping it simple and easy-to-use. Being a developer myself, I was very excited to try out my Facebook application with the new profile. And to my surprise, it worked like a charm :)
Try It Out!
If you would like to try out the new Facebook profile design, click here. Remember, many features might won’t work as its only open for developers to test their applications.
Now even non-developers can use the new design. For more information on how to, click here!
Let’s take a look at the drop down menus in the top menu bar.
User Menu
From this menu, you can view or edit your Profile, edit and privacy and account settings. Or if you need to, you can also log out from here.
Friends Menu
Friends menu allow you to view your friends list, recently updated profiles, online friends and allows to further invite or find friends using your email address book.
Applications Menu
Add, remove or manage Facebook applications added in your profile.
Inbox Menu
Here you can manage your private messages, view your Inbox, sent messages, notifications and fan page updates, or compose a new private message.
Let’s move on to the tabs now.
Tabs
- Feed: Shows your mini-feed updates
- Info: Shows your basic, contact, personal, education, work and custom application information.
- Wall: All the wall posts
- Photos: View and manage your albums, add, edit or view photos.
- Boxes: Here everyone can see all the applications added.
Overall, I feel the new design is way better than the current one. It’s more easy to use, and I like the idea that all the applications are in a separate tab and won’t load if we try to open our Profile page. There was one missing thing that I hope to see in the final release of this layout, the Social-Feed. It helped me lot to catch up what’s going in my friends profiles.
Facebook Preview
To preview the upcoming improvements to Facebook, be a fan of the official Facebook Previews page.
Do let me know what you think of this design, and did you like it or not? I’ll be looking forward to know your views.

50 Rapidshare Search Engines
Rapidshare currently has about 230GBit/s of Internet connectivity and 4.5 Petabytes of storage. This makes them one of the world’s biggest and the fastest web hosts around the world. If you see carefully, Rapidshare is a gold mine of its own. I mean, thousands of files are being uploaded everyday. I can bet, there will be hundreds or maybe thousands of files that will be of some use to us, that are available on Rapidshare. But just because it doesn’t have a search engine of its own, we couldn’t search them.
Still some people use complex search queries and try to Google out the files stored on Rapidshare. I have collected a very big list of Rapidshare search engines. Compiled with the help of friends and my best friend, Google.com.
Rapidshare search engines are popping up everyday, but not all index files regularly and updates their database. You can use the following list of search engines to search files on Rapidshare.
RapidZilla (My favourite!)
Phew! That’s all I know. If there is any other site that you use and would like to share, then drop a comment below and I’ll add it above. And if you already use any of the above, do let me know your favourites.

Remove Banner Ad From Foxit Reader
by Haris on May 24, 2008
in Tips and Tricks
Recently, I wrote about Foxit Reader, the best PDF reader available. Since Adobe Reader uses lots of system resources, I prefer Foxit Reader over that. As you all know, Foxit Reader comes in two versions, free and a Pro version. A number of additonal features can be enabled in the Pro version.
The mini banner ad, in the top right corner, can be seen in the free version of Foxit Reader. That banner can be removed if you purchase the Pro version. Foxit Reader gives its users the choice to disable this banner from View > uncheck Advertisements. But for some reason, when you start Foxit Reader again, the ad comes back.
How To Remove Banner Ad From Foxit Reader
I have found a trick by which you can remove the banner ad forever! All you have to do is open Foxit Reader and uncheck Advertisement from the View menu. Close Foxit Reader. Again open Foxit Reader, and repeat the above process for about 2-5 times. My banner ad was removed after repeating it for 2 times.

Rapishare Happy Hours Detector – Firefox Extension

Previously I wrote about two [1, 2] Rapidshare Happy Hours detectors. They are very useful if you are a regular Rapidshare user and download lots of files daily. Of course, the over-done CAPTCHA, the download ticket, and the waiting time for free users is quite annoying. But all this gets disabled during the happy hours.
CECT N96: A Nokia N96 Clone

Cell phone clones have become quite popular these days. iPhone has been cloned by many manufacturers, including the whole of Nokia N-series and many others. Previously, CECT, a Chinese manufacturer, ripped off iPhone, and named it as iFone. This time, they are back with yet another rip off in the form of Nokia N96.
Surprisingly, the CECT N96 looks 99% the same as the original Nokia N96. But that’s only for the looks. When you go for the features and specifications, they still need to work a lot. Even the firmware has been tweaked to look just like Symbina v3, but it really is something of their own.
Specifications
- Tri-Band 900/1800/1900MHZz
- 2 megapixel camera
- Bluetooth stereo connectivity
- Dual 3D stereo speakers
- 3″ 262k color LCD display
- Video and audio playback
- 1GB microSD memory card slot
USB Warmer/Chiller With 4 USB Port Hub
by Haris on May 23, 2008
in Gadgets, Technology
If you are looking for a multi-purpose USB hub, then this gadget is one of the best things available! It not only features a 4-port hub, but also keeps your cold drinks cold, and hot drinks hot with its built-in warmer/chiller. Now you can keep your favourite beverage hot or cold, no matter what the temperature is while you transfer data using the 4-port hub.
This is a perfect piece of gadget for your office, or how about gifting it to a colleague who has recently joined a new office? It is available in two colours, pink and black. And it only costs for $24. Quite reasonable, eh?
