How To Set A Master Password In Firefox

in Firefox, Internet, Softwares, Tips and Tricks
I don’t even remember when was the last time I posted a Firefox trick. Oh yeah, I posted about a Greasemonkey script that could give you a permanent Diwali theme for Orkut. See… Long time, eh? :D
This time the trick is how to put a master password (the big daddy of all the saved passwords in Firefox). Many websites nowadays require you to login using a user name and password. And one of the best features I like about Firefox is its ability to save the passwords so we don’t have to type them again and again. But these passwords are not secured. One can easily go to the settings and view all the saved passwords.

BlogBackupOnline Should Be Banned!
by Haris on December 21, 2007
in Blogging, Internet, Technology, WordPress
First let me tell you what BlogBackupOnline really is. It is a free online service that backs up your blog daily, and stores all the data on their server. It doesn’t matter whether you use Blogger, WordPress, TypePad, Friendster, LiveJournal, Serendipity, Windows Live Space, Movable Type, Terapad, or Vox, it recognizes the blogging platform itself and starts collecting data in no time. Every member gets 50MB of disk space for their backup and restoring a blog’s backup was never this easy. You can add as many blogs as you want and anyone’s blog you want. Yes, that’s right! You can backup anyone’s blog (using their feeds), and restore it wherever you want. Still confused? Duh! Continue reading…
Birthday Calendar For Facebook

It takes hours to collect all the dates for setting up a calendar, or for a useful reminder service. And most of all, there is hardly a service that reminds you of your important meetings, birthdays etc. through emails, feeds and cell phone. What if you get all this in one place? And that too on one of the most popular social networks, Facebook!

Cool Google Talk Themes
GTalk users are increasing day by day. Maybe because of its simplicity. A large number of bloggers use GTalk to interact with their fans and blog friends. Well, I’m also no different. :P I also use GTalk to catch up with all my friends and fans. Few days ago, I Google’d for some GTalk themes and stumbled across a cool site that offered free GTalk themes.
I got the same themes sometime ago through an underground forum, but the author of the post didn’t post the source, so I wasn’t sure where he got them from. But now when I know the it, I have been able to get a few cool themes that you will surely love using on GTalk.
Enough time wasted, eh? Let’s get on with the themes part. :)
NOTE: If you don’t know how or where to install GTalk themes, please read this first!
How To Change/Install Themes In Google Talk

in Google, Softwares, Tips and Tricks
What’s up readers? How was your weekend? :D I hope you had a great one. Last time, I wrote about GTalk (Google Talk) was when I found how to unblock blocked contacts in it. This time, I’m going to tell you how you can change or install new themes in GTalk.
Remember, themes are not skins. Gmail themes only change the layout of the conversation window. Where as skins change the entire design of the application.
