How to use your email for Windows Live services
Every now and then my friends keep asking me that how do I use my Gmail address on MSN Messenger. All I have to say is that it’s not a big thing! All you have to do is create credentials for your email address (not only for Gmail, any email provider). This way you can access almost all the Windows Live services.
To create credentials, fill this sign up form and get your email activated. Finish! Were you expecting more? :P If you are a Gmail user, like me, then you are lucky to have one email address that can be used on Google Talk, Yahoo Messenger and Windows Live/MSN Messenger :D . Wherever you are required to use a Windows Live ID, you can use this email (you just registered it). It gets quite easy to manage things with one email.

Thanx for this cool info i think many people still don’t know how to use your own addresses like gmail etc on messenger , but i Love Windows Live and i was lucky enough to post about @live.com addresses and got a few for myself too lol

Oh that’s cool. Nowyou can have one email address for all the Windows Live services. You won’t need to sign up for a Hotmail account those any of those.

Hmm, maybe I did something wrong but seeing as I followed these instructions step by step I don’t know how I could have.
I successfully signed up for Windows Live using Gmail and logged into the WL messenger service. I knew I had to verify the email address so when I got the email verification letter I went to the link and did that. It told me the usual, “Thank you your email address is now verified” or whatever. So every time I sign into WL I get a message saying I need to verify it. So I went back to do it again….still nothing, and a third time. I still get that stupid pop up saying I need to verify it. So short of telling MSN to shove it, I don’t know what else to do. I have been wanting to do this for some time now and when I tried it myself I was at the wrong page to do it.
Is there anything I could have missed?
