WP Theme K2: Common Errors and Fixes
June 20, 2007 - HarisI was recently setting up a blog for my friend using wordpress as the platform, when I found some common installation errors that occur while installing the famous theme K2. I have even found the fixes to these problems, thanks to the K2 Support forums.
Errors with their fixes
1. If you get this error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: get_option() in [...]/wp-content/themes/k2/theloop.php on line 28
To fix this, disable all the plugins that load their own version of prototype.js.
2. If you get this:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: wp_bootstrap() in /home/mybattle/public_html/wp02/wp-content/themes/k2/app/
includes/sbm-stub.php on line 24
You will have to re-install the theme from scratch, because the file structure have change. This error occurs while installing K2 0.9.6 on top of a previous installation.
3. For this:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: is_active_module() in /home/…wp-content/themes/k2/theloop.php on line 76
I don’t know the actual reason for this error, but this error is fixed in the latest version 0.9.6. So, if you are getting this, make sure you are using K2 0.9.6, not 0.9.5.
These were the only errors I found with the fixes. If you know any other common error that you have come across, then feel free to share it here. Your additions will be highly appreciated. If you still have some question regarding a problem, the K2 Support Forums are always open.
I hope this article has been helpful to you. This was the lat post for today… See you guys tomorrow :)

June 20, 2007 - HarisThis trailer is not new actually, but I came across it yesterday :) . The movie looks awesome! I have never seen the cartoons, but I’m not going to miss this movie.
Watch the trailer and tell me what do you think about this movie.
How to clear your recently viewed documents
June 20, 2007 - HarisAs you all know that whenever a document such as a word processing file, an image, sound file etc. is opened, it gets saved in your Recently Viewed Documents. At times it even gets annoying, because sometimes you don’t want something to be viewed by others and want to keep it private.
Well, to clear the history, follow the instructions below:
- Right-click anywhere in your taskbar and select Properties.
- Go to the Start Menu tab and make sure the usual Start Menu is selected (not the classic start menu)
- Â Select Customize and from the customize window, go to Advanced tab.
There in the end of the window you will see the Clear List button beside ‘List my recently viewed documents.’ Click that button, and all the history will get cleared. If you don’t want your documents to get listed in that list, then un-check the option to list them.
There you go, history for the recently viewed documents is all cleared :)
I hope you enjoyed this little tutorial.
