I don’t use Google Talk much. Because I’m quite happy with MSN Windows Live Messenger. I only use Google Talk when I open my Gmail inbox to check my mails. I hardly find two or three people online there in my list. :(

Well, nevermind that. Moving on to the topic…

I found a small list of Google Talk shortcuts on TechTreak that might be useful to you guys.

Yesterday, while reading Tricks4Fun.com I came to know about a few Notepad ticks :)

You can try out the following tricks:

Use it as a log book:

You can use notepad as a log book. To do this, you need to open Notepad, type .LOG in the first line, save the file and close it. The next time you open the file, the current date and time will be displayed there. Every time you open this file the file will have a time stamp along with text on it. Well you can use this to make daily notes or use it as a dairy. :)

Multiple Home Pages In Firefox

Did you know that you could actually have multiple home pages in Firefox just like IE7? Well it’s very easy to do :). All of your home pages will open by default whenever you start Firefox. EasyTweaks has shown how to do this.

NOTE: Be aware that this new feature introduces a performance degradation in Firefox startup as multiple pages are open. So DO NOT try this if you have a slow PC.

Hide Your Files In A JPEG

in Tips and Tricks, Windows

Well, did you know you could hide your files in a JPEG file? For this, you will only need to download WinRAR. You just need to have a little knowledge about Command Prompt and have WinRAR installed.

Ok, lets begin…

  1. Gather all the files that you wish to hide in a folder anywhere in your PC (make it in C:hidden – RECOMMENDED).
  2. Now, add those files in a RAR archive (e.g. secret.rar). This file should also be in the same directory (C:hidden).
  3. Now, look for a simple JPEG picture file (e.g. logo.jpg). Copy/Paste that file also in C:hidden.
  4. Now, open Command Prompt (Go to Run and type ‘cmd‘). Make your working directory C:hidden.

How to Hack Windows XP’s Pinball

Now this is something fun :D. You could actually apply a simple and a very cool hack in Pinball (default Windows XP). I never knew even Windows games have cheats, like this Pinball cheat:

  1. Open Pinball.
  2. Start a new game in it.
  3. Now, while playing, type: “hidden test” (without quotes, but with the space).
  4. Click anywhere on the Pinball window and start dragging the ball anywhere you like. :)

Simple, isn’t it?

I hope you enjoyed this little simple hack. Thanks for reading it.
