10 Most Expensive Computer Keybords
Today morning, I found another cool blog Most-Expensive.net. The first post I read there was about the 10 most expensive keyboards. I got a copy from there for my blog. You can read it below. I would love to say that all the credit of this post goes to the author of Most-Expensive.net (actually I wasn’t able find the name of the author :P) .
1. Happy Hacking Keyboard HP Japan, PFU Ltd 525,000 yen
PFU Ltd of Ishikawa, Japan, an affiliate of Fujitsu, is producing the Happy Hacking Keyboard Professional HP Japan, a made-to-order keyboard handcoated with Urushi lacquer. This made to order keyboard is coated many times using a special brush made from the hairs of virgins, and then powdered with gold dust! The price for this expensive computer keyboard is a grand sum of 525,000 yen or about US $4,440.

Read Japanese? Check out their website.
2. 2000-IS-DT, 2000-IS-PM Stealth Computer $2,200.00
Going to war with your keyboard? Stealth Computer makes devices to reduce risk of failure in hazardous areas, the 2000-IS-DT & 2000-IS-PM come enclosed in non-corrosive stainless steel with an optical isolated barrier ensuring NEMA (National Electrical Manufacturers Association) 4X protection. What other keyboard has a temperature range of -40F to +194F (-40C to +90C)? Stealth makes many other expensive steel NEMA keyboards, but this one looks like the costliest. We’ll ignore the rest for the sake of making this article more interesting.

See more about the 2000-IS models.
3. TouchStream LP, Fingerworks $1500+ (Read Full…)
These mystical keyboards originally retailed for $340 but since FingerWorks has been bought out and no longer produces keyboards, TouchStream LPs in great condition have started selling at inflated prices to fanatics. You can look for yours on eBay if you don’t mind spending hundreds on used computer accessories.

No longer in production, but it still has a website.
Faster Login for Gmail and Orkut
Last night, somehow, I stumbled upon Tricks4Fun where I found this cool trick to open Gmail and Orkut faster. This trick can be a really very useful for people who use slow dial-up connections. :D
Faster Gmail Interface
To check your mails in a fast way, then simply open http://m.gmail.com and login in with your username and password. Pretty simple, eh? Actually, this interface was created for cell phone users, who want to check their mails. So, slow internet users can take advantage of this and use this to check their mails. :)
Faster Orkut Login
As you all know, that the main Orkut page consists of number of images and that heavy login box. So, just to skip that you can use this alternate log-in page to login your Orkut account. Just point your browser to this url and the log-in page will open. :D
Enjoy! :D
Make Your Firefox Much Faster
Here’s a little tweak by which you could speed up your firefox. It worked for me, may be it will work for you guys too. Just follow the steps below and you are ready to surf the web faster with Firefox.
1) Type “about:config” into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and look for the following entries:
network.http.pipelining
network.http.proxy.pipelining
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests
Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading.
2) Alter the entries as follows: (by double clicking them)
Set “network.http.pipelining” to “true”
Set “network.http.proxy.pipelining” to “true”
Set “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once. (I changed mine to 100, works great.)
3) Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” and set its value to “0“. This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.
